Sketch Book Study I.

Here the artist is attempting to emulate or resonate the same kind of information as a Renaissance sketch, such as Michelangelo’s famed ‘Studies for the Libyan Sibyl’ (c.1510). The left figure appears to be a study of the bronze statue of the Archangel St Michael above the entrance to the Augsburg armory, Germany.
