Dawn

In this piece, the neutral female figure-ground at the top right morphs from a typical classical Italian landscape, (used here as a backdrop) into primitive dissolving architecture before a contemporaneous semi-nude model. The figure at right clearly wearing Romanesque attire appears to be drafted in an earlier style (indicative of the pre-Raphaelites), while both women appear to be experiencing the breaking of dawn.
